Conservative Issues
Below are the initial issues the Freedom Caucus will focus on. This is just a start. Our session starts January 10th and we will work to advance a Freedom agenda. We will protect personal freedoms, shrink government and governmental control, reinforce traditional family values, reduce spending and taxes, and promote Constitutional Conservative values as intended by the Founding Fathers of the United States.
1. Stopping Mutilation of Children. As mentioned in an earlier blog post, the Freedom Caucus’ top priority is overturning the Takubo/Maroney amendment to 2023’s HB2007 that allows the chemical mutilation of West Virginia’s children. Our children must be protected, not exploited and experimented on for political purposes.
2. Full Vaccine Exemptions. Our 2nd priority is vaccine exemptions from any government and school mandates. No government should tell people and parents what vaccines they must take to do anything, including go to school.
3. Next is Eliminating Diversity, Inclusion, Equity (DIE, typically misspelled by Leftists as DEI) from our government and schools. DIE, and its companion racist indoctrinator – Critical Race Theory, are Leftist tools to create societal divisions and destroy the foundations of our country.
4. We will focus on Prohibiting Interference in any Elections that Affect West Virginia. The Left’s persecution and prosecutions of Conservatives running for national office are threats to our Republic. West Virginia must confront those criminals conducting prosecutions to protect the People from tyranny.
5. Prohibiting Entry into Our State by Illegal Aliens. The Freedom Caucus took Texas Senate Bill 4 and adapted it to West Virginia. We must stand with other states to stop the lawlessness of the Biden regime and the invasion Biden is abetting.
6. Reforming Emergency Powers of the Governor. In 2023, the Legislature made minor changes to Jim Justice’s misuse of his emergency powers during the Chinese Communist pandemic. We must do more to ensure no one can devastate our society again under the sham guise of a health emergency.
7. Restricting Mailing Abortion Pills to West Virginia. The Freedom Caucus will fight to restrict the murder of the unborn by the importation by the Left of abortion pills into our state.
8. State Guard. We are entering a global war. Our National Guard, including many law enforcement officers & first responders, will deploy to this war. We need a State Guard to respond to crises (primarily natural disasters & other emergencies), maintain order during crises and civil disturbances, and provide civil defense.
9. Tax Cuts and Holding the Economic Development Authority in Check. We are committed to cutting spending and taxes. We will work to rein in Jim Justice’s ‘Economic Development’ Authority spending of the People’s money. We believe in Free Enterprise, not picking winners and losers. We must cut taxes to help the People, not the favored few.
10. Balanced Budget/Fiscal Responsibility Amendment to U.S. Constitution. Since 1979, enough states have asked Congress to call a Convention of States (COS) for a balanced budget amendment. But Congress refuses to call the COS. West Virginia will join a lawsuit to force Congress to do its duty. But we will also call a COS in Charleston, despite Congress’ obstruction. We must rein in our out-of-control federal government and its insane bankrupt spending.

Identifying and Electing True Conservatives
Too many politicians claim they stand for conservative values, but truly care only about their own political power. The West Virginia Freedom Caucus will expose these politicians to West Virginia voters regardless of party affiliation. Many legislators claim to be conservative but their votes are anything but conservative.
